As you can see, the long bolt in the front must've vibrated loose in the 300-mile trek here, and fallen out, completely. The fastener to the rear plastic fender is also broken. I hope this is covered under warranty!
Our hero, on the way to get gas and to try to find a bolt..
hmmm, i have been seriously debating getting an agility 125 as my first scoot. but after seeing all that you have gone through, i am not so sure. overall how happy have you been with this scooter?
ReplyDeletefs8gbe -- I'm pretty happy with it, actually. This trip -- 300 miles in 11 hours (lots of stops, and some minor route shifting) -- seems a lot to ask of a 125cc machine. Over half of it was over 45mph; 1/3 of the overall trip was made at wide-open throttle. I can see how a bolt could vibrate loose, but it happened on this trip. When exactly, I couldn't say, since I didn't check it until this morning during pre-flight. It was there and fine in Lebanon, TN, on Friday, 'cause that's where I checked the oil, and I would have noticed this if it were loose or gone.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, it performs like a trooper. This one's a very minor issue, but I want the exhaust gasket checked, and the fasteners replaced, of course.
.
these hallowed hills aint no Bumfuck...boy!
ReplyDeleteI have a agility 50 its not a bad scooter just alittle slow. I live in worcester,ma. I got mine on sept. 5th an been riding it alot. i have 460+ miles on it. My first trip was 100 miles round trip no problems. Before i go to NH this weekend i'll do yet another check over plus the exhaust after seeing yours wow. Im also looking for a mudflap for mine. On rainy days my back gets wet or the scooter get dirty on top. Good luck on selling your scooter.
