Heh. Get yours, today! They have your number.
Also, just had a local guy who came recommended (and needed the work) to come get the Vino to do the belt replacement, and to de-restrict the variator and exhaust. He quoted $100, total, parts, labor and pickup, which seems really reasonable. I'll give him a bit extra if he wants to deliver it, as opposed to me enlisting a pickup-driving pal.

Uil -- If not, the signed receipt, the photo of his Silverado truck (with distinctive decals advertising his business) and his license plate ought to help. :)

it just so happens that I was looking at purchasing a kymco Agility 125, and this blog was one of the few places on the web that I could see peoples' experiences with them. Do you know if the problems you had with yours (regarding that leaky clamp and whatnot) have been fixed across the board yet? I can't seem to find any info on Kymco's website about it.
ReplyDeleteTony -- I doubt there's been time to issue a support bulletin, since it's only been fixed for about two weeks, but since the district service manager came to the shop and helped diagnose the problem, I'm guessing such a bulletin will go out to the dealers.
ReplyDeleteYou might want to print out the story, and have it in hand when you go to buy yours... it can't hurt to have the dealer check this on the one you select as part of the pre-purchase prep.
