Awesome

Big Red Ugly is back, baby.

With a nearly-completely-new top end, I'll have to baby it for a while, and get it broken in, but so far, so good. Less vibration and less noise than ever, and after an initial issue burping a bit of air out of and adding additional coolant to the cooling system (which was causing the temp gauge to swing around), it's been aces all afternoon.

Very, very happy.

Thanks again to Josephine for loaning me her SYM Fiddle, and doing all the paperwork and parts ordering, and to James, Chris and Josh for all their hard work on the bike. I think we got 'er licked!

  1. But the important question...did you ever get that Voice-of-God(tm) brand horn installed? :)

  2. No -- not yet! And the front has been off of it a few times the last 43 days, too. :)

I still have to fashion a bracket. Rick, one of the local riders (he has a Kymco Xciting 500 -- the big boy for the U.S. market, now) gave me a hunk of plate steel that can probably be fabricated into the bracket I need, given the right tools (and a torch will be one of those tools... it's like 1/8" thick!).

  4. I don't think ESS has tallied all the parts & labor to process the claim, yet. We ought to know soon, though.

  5. Congratulations, Jeffraham! So glad you're mobile again! Been lurking a long time, anxious for this day. Even visited a scooter store locally to check out the 'A2B' electric.

    Personally, I ride a '95 Badboy...
